Planning permission for a dwelling-house and detached domestic garage to rear with a septic tank and sewage treatment plant at Ballybrogan, Lecarrow was subject to an impact assessment including testing. The site lies adjacent to RO045–120, listed as a ringfort/rath/cashel. Six trenches, running northwest/south-east, were excavated using a track
machine with a 1.5m-wide grading bucket. No archaeological finds or features were identified during testing.
