An assessment was carried out piror to the erection of a single dwelling at Drumbin, Tydavnet. There were no visible trace of the earthwork site in the field, MO009-002, which was marked 'Fort' on the 1835 OS map. The proposed house site was located apparently to the west excavated. Shallow topsoil, c. 0.2m deep, overlay gray/brown clayey subsoil in the most of the trenches. No material of archaeological significances was observed in any of the trenches.
