Testing was undertaken at Commons, Navan, prior to the construction of Contract 3 (Southern Ring Pipelines), which will form part of the Navan mid-Meath water supply scheme. A total of sixteen test-trenches were mechanically excavated along the length of the pipeline wayleave where it travels through two greenfields. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during testing.
