Killeen and Cregganbaun group water scheme project involves the laying of c. 5.5km of pipeline in the townlands of Cregganbaun, Derrgrave More, Feenaun and Srahwee, south of Louisburg on the Murrisk Peninsula in south-west County Mayo. Much of the scheme lies within part of the Clew Bay Archaeological Heritage Trail (a 35km hiking trail incorporating some 21 archaeological sites along the shores of Clew Bay in County Mayo). Works will take place in road verge, within roads and in greenfield. The diameter of pipe varies from 25mm service pipes to 250mm mains. Works are ongoing at the time of writing and are due to be completed in mid-2010.
