Moore Marine Services Ltd was commissioned by Irish Archaeological Consultancy to carry out an underwater impact assessment of a proposed outfall at New South Quays, Drogheda, Co. Louth. The assessment took place in September 2009. Water flow at the time of the survey was moderate with very poor visibility. The maximum recorded water depth was 4.1m. The site survey recorded that, whilst there was a considerable amount of metallic and masonry debris noted on the foreshore, none of this appeared to be archaeological.
