Monitoring was carried out at the villages of Drumlish and Newtownforbes (Lisbrack), Co. Longford, in response to the construction of a sewerage scheme in both villages. Monitoring of the pipeline trenches for the new foul sewer at Drumlish took place on an intermittent basis from January 2009 to June 2009, whilst work at Newtownforbes was carried out between June and September 2009. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the course of monitoring.
