Test-trenching was carried out on 19 March 2009 on the site of the proposed Ballinalee Cemetery extension, Co. Longford, on behalf of Longford County Council. Although the site of the proposed development is situated within the constraint zone of LF009–023, the historic town of Ballinalee, no sites or features of archaeological significance were revealed during the test-trenching carried out at the site.
