Testing was undertaken as part of an impact assessment for the development of a single house and associated works at Michelstowndown East, Garryspillane, as it was adjacent to an archaeological complex. Four trenches were excavated by machine. Nothing of an archaeological nature was found. As part of the assessment, a 20m buffer zone was established around the two closest elements of the archaeological complex to the subject site.
