Test excavation was conducted as part of an assessment in support of a planning application for houses and ancillary works at Knockroe, Kildimo. The site is situated within 500m of three enclosures. A total of eleven trenches were excavated across the development site measuring 30m to 62m in length by 1.8m. The stratigraphy comprised of topsoil overlying parent bedrock in all trenches. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
