Test excavations took place at Saddle Hill, Faughary, Co. Leitrim, in order to meet a planning condition in relation to a proposed wind farm development. Four test-trenches were excavated on the footprint of the proposed wind turbines and substation but nothing of archaeological significance was noted. The stratigraphy of the site was shown to be largely composed of peat.
