The proposed development relates to a single house in the townland of Garranamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. The site was located in proximity to KK09–058, listed as a 'monastic house’ with extant enclosure ditches. Five test-trenches were excavated across the footprint of the house and the driveway. The topsoil was shallow across the site and the natural subsoil was an extremely compact yellow clay. No archaeological features were identified in any of the trenches.
