Testing was carried out during February 2009 along a section of proposed pipeline that will form part of the Kildare Water Strategy. The pipeline route was tested for 51m as it passes (within the existing roadway) adjacent to KD031–018 (ringfort). Nothing of archaeological significance was identified in the trench. The foundation layer for the current road directly sealed the natural subsoil.
