The proposed development is situated on the north side of Kilgarvan village. Much of the site had been developed under a previous grant of planning and topsoil had been removed in other areas so these areas were not tested. In the remaining area two test-
trenches were machine-excavated. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during testing.
