Limited testing was undertaken at five houses (OPW numbers 9, 11, 13, 14, 64) in the ownership of the state as part of a wider archaeological assessment and instrument survey of the Great Blasket village undertaken on behalf of the OPW. The purpose of the testing was to establish the location of wall foundations of the houses, which are proposed for conservation works. The wall footings were exposed for all the houses tested.
