Testing was carried out of a proposed development site at Curraghtooshane, Listowel, Co. Kerry. There were no known monuments located within its immediate vicinity. The proposed development consisted of the construction of 90 houses and associated site works. Testing consisted of the excavation of thirteen test-trenches and nine trial holes. Trial holes were excavated in areas of the site in which peat depths of 3–6m prevented the excavation of test-trenches. The trenches and trial holes were excavated to the level of the natural boulder clay where possible. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
