The proposed development at Ballymakegoge, the Spa, involves the construction of a single dwelling, garage and associated works, located within the zone of archaeological potential for KE028–073, a ringfort. Three linear trenches totalling 71 linear metres were excavated in the area of the proposed development site. No features, deposits or finds of an archaeological nature were uncovered in any of the trenches.
