The proposed development involved the partial demolition of a shop and the construction of a two-storey extension. A request for further information from Galway County Council required an assessment and testing. The proposed development is located west of a graveyard (GA099–127). Two trenches were excavated in the area of the proposed percolation area. The stratigraphy revealed natural layers below the subsoil and nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
