Monitoring of works at the Iveagh Trust, Bull Alley Street, Dublin 8, were carried out from June to August 2009. During these works a portion of a post-medieval wall was revealed at a depth of 1m below the ground surface. The wall was oriented roughly east to west and was composed of limestone blocks bonded with lime mortar. One face of the wall was covered with a layer of lime plaster. The wall was probably associated with a series of buildings shown on the 1846–7 OS map of Dublin. No other features or material of an archaeological nature were exposed during these works.
