Monitoring of topsoil-stripping associated with the erection of a telecommunications mast with associated equipment building and compound was undertaken in July 2009. The development site, measuring 15m by 15m, is situated a minimum of 85m from a complex of archaeological monuments (DU024–005) comprising two passage graves and a ring-barrow. Temporary fencing was erected around the archaeological sites in advance of the commencement of site-preparation works and nothing of interest was uncovered during the course of these works.
