It is proposed to construct a complex of football fields and associated car-parking and landscaping immediately to the north-east of Nos 2, 20, 16, 18, 22, 26–48, Kilbroney Valley, Rostrevor, Co. Down, for St Bronagh’s Gaelic Athletic Association Club. A total of 28 test-trenches were mechanically excavated (26 in the main development site and a further two in the second field to allow access). In all cases topsoil was removed directly on to naturally occurring subsoil. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the course of the evaluation.
