Monitoring of topsoil removal for a proposed replacement dwelling at Banbridge Road, Rathfriland, was carried out on 19 August 2009. The proposed development is located within an area of archaeological potential due its proximity to rath DOW041–028. During the course of the monitoring works no archaeological features or deposits were uncovered.
