Moore Marine was commissioned by Fehily Timoney & Company on behalf of Bord G$is !ireann to carry out an underwater impact assessment of a proposed pipeline development from the townlands of Curraleigh West to Midleton in Co. Cork. The survey comprised a visual and metal-detection survey of the area surrounding the watercourses to be crossed.
The assessment concluded that none of the four waterways were of high archaeological potential. There were no monuments in the vicinity of any of the crossings and no previously unrecorded archaeological material was noted. Eoghan Kieran,
