Two further test-trenches were excavated on the site following on from the earlier phase of testing by Niamh O’Rourke in 2008 (Excavations 2008, No. 214). Random rubble walls, a well, a cobbled surface and a substantial masonry feature associated with the industrial activity of the site were revealed. However, no evidence for the presence of the 19th-century glass works was revealed. The material uncovered in these trenches was similar to that found during the earlier phase of testing.
