Pre-development test excavation was carried out on 25 February 2009 in advance of the construction of a dwelling-house within the zone of archaeological potential of a fulacht fiadh at Coolavokig, Lissacreasig, Macroom. Eight test-trenches were excavated. The grey/brown loamy topsoil varied in depth between c. 0.05m and c. 0.25m and overlay a yellow/brown boulder clay with rock outcrops and a white clay to the south of the development. No archaeological features or finds were noted.
