Testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed single house in April 2009. The development site is situated c. 600m to the east of a holy well ‘site’ (CW016–073) and c. 500m to the east of a church ‘site’ (CW016–074). A total of fifteen trenches of varying lengths and orientations were excavated within the boundaries of the development area and nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
