It is proposed to construct a dwelling at Corlust Road, Tandragee, Co. Armagh. There were no SMR sites within the development area, but the site is given as the location of a non-extant standing stone, believed to have been situated immediately north-west of the site prior to its disappearance/removal in the past. The vicinity is known as Pillar Hill.
Following a desk-based survey and site visit in May 2009, a programme of works was agreed with the Historic Monuments Section of the Environment and Heritage Service, who approved the excavation of three test-trenches within the site. The current archaeological assessment determined that no subsurface archaeological features exist at this location.
