It is proposed to construct a nursing home site at Main Street, Toomebridge, Co. Antrim. The development will include associated hard-standing and landscaping, and the creation of a new access road.
An archaeological evaluation of the site was conducted. This consisted of the excavation of a number of test-trenches and pits across the area of the site. The evaluation found the development site to consist of substantial deposits of made ground up to 4m in depth. No evidence of archaeological deposits was identified during the course of the evaluation.
