The demolition of two terraced houses within the conservation area for Lisburn in July 2009 resulted in a two-day excavation at the rear of the buildings. A portion of a brick-built drain, a brick culvert and a stone drain were uncovered. These drains appeared to have been contemporary with the 19th-century buildings that were demolished.
