An archaeological evaluation was carried out with regards to a proposed development at Sand Road, Galgorm, Co. Antrim. The evaluation consisted of the excavation of a series of test-trenches across the entire development site. Testing identified two areas of archaeological potential located within the southern and northern portions of the site in the form of subsoil-cut pits, with associated prehistoric pottery, and a large stone deposit, while also confirming the agricultural nature of the site with the identification of numerous plough furrows and field boundary ditches.
