It is proposed to develop a site at 1–5 Gobrana Road, Glenavy, Co. Antrim. Prior to a full planning application being made, an archaeological evaluation of the site was undertaken. This work consisted of the mechanical excavation of a number of test-trenches. The evaluation indicated that the site has been raised extensively along its south-east half with modern fill material. No evidence of archaeological deposits was identified during the course of the evaluation.
