The site is located on lands adjacent to Nos 23–39 Mill Street in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim. It measures c. 95m north-east/south-west by 34m at its widest point. The proposed development concerns the construction of five detached dwellings within the north-west area, with access provided from Glentaisie Drive, and a row of eight properties located on Mill Street. While there are no known archaeological sites within the boundaries of the proposed development, the settlement of Ballycastle (ANT008–135) is an area of archaeological and historical interest.
