A total of fifteen test-trenches were excavated across the site. There had been quarrying within the site previously and much of this had been backfilled. No archaeological finds or features were recorded in these test-trenches. The spoil from the trenches was metal-detected on request from the National Museum of Ireland. No archaeological finds were identified as a result of this survey.
A desktop study had identified cropmarks at this location that corresponded to anomalies from a geophysical survey of the site (Target Archaeological Geophysics); these anomalies were determined to be natural in origin.
