Testing was undertaken as part of a request for further information. Two trenches were excavated which suggested that the majority of the area proposed for development was extensively disturbed during the construction and demolition of the post-medieval terrace of buildings which once occupied the site. However, a single large subsoil-cut feature was uncovered at the southern end of the site.
