Five test-trenches were opened on the imprint of a house site in Russellstown, situated close to Clonmel, on the western foothills of the Comeragh Mountains. The house site is within the constraint area for ecclesiastical remains. No archaeological remains were found within the trenches opened. Nothing was found in any way that could be associated with the ecclesiastical remains to the north-west of the house site. Two features were identified, both of which were of a non-archaeological provenance: the first a probable stone socket, the second a land drain.
