Monitoring of ground-reduction works was carried out over a period of three days during May 2008 and relates to Phase 1 of a proposed rear extension to Toal’s Bookmakers, Irish Street/Wilson’s Lane, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. The proposed development is located within an area of archaeological potential within the historic town of Dungannon. During the course of monitoring works at the site the remains of two post-medieval rubbish were excavated, these being pits uncovered within the southern and central portion of the development area.
