Testing was undertaken in June 2008 at Tinvoher, Loughmoe, Co. Tipperary, prior to the construction of a dwelling house and associated works. The site is within the constraint area of a town site (TN035–030). Specifically the site is to the north of Loughmoe Castle adjacent to the River Suir. Five test-trenches, 1.6m wide and totalling 90m, were excavated. The test-trenches displayed recent improvement works. The exposed levels comprised riverine silts and gravels. Layers of peat were also evident. No features of potential archaeological interest were identified.
