A series of test-trenches were excavated on the footprint of a proposed agricultural development at Laffina, Clonoulty, in compliance with the planning conditions, as the site lies at the edge of the constraint zone of TS046–050, a tower-house. No features or finds of an archaeological nature were uncovered in any of the trenches opened.
