Monitoring was undertaken during initial construction groundworks for a farm access road and entranceway measuring c. 100m long and 4.4m wide. The groundworks, which involved topsoil-stripping and excavation of a field boundary, took place on a single day in December 2008. The site of development was within a pasture field, bounded to the north by a hedgerow and low drystone wall, which lies c. 100m to the east of Moymlough Castle. The area monitored measured c. 440m2 and on average 0.25m in depth. No archaeological features or artefacts were exposed during monitoring of groundworks.
