It is proposed to construct a new dwelling house, proprietary treatment system, percolation area, new entrance onto the public road and ancillary siteworks at Tassan, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. The proposed development is located within the zone of archaeological potential associated with MO014–027, a rath. Assessment by means of test-trenching was carried out on 17 January when a total of five test-trenches were excavated. No archaeological features were exposed and no finds were recovered.
