Testing was carried out in April 2008, as part of a pre-development assessment of a proposed single-house development in Kinduff, Aghaboy. The site was located immediately south-east of MO018–029, a ringfort, and lay partially within the zone of archaeological potential for this monument. Seven test-trenches were opened across the footprint of the proposed dwelling. Drainage ditches, furrows and relict field boundaries were identified, running east–west. These were associated with 19th-century pottery sherds. The topsoil was also rich in modern pottery sherds and brick fragments. These were most likely associated with the ruined remains of a vernacular house adjacent to the site. No finds, features or deposits of archaeological significance were present. No cultural material pre-dating the 19th century was observed in any part of the proposed development site.
