Consent was requested on behalf of Meath County Council for pipe-laying for a new sewerage system. Piping was laid in the original pipe trench, so there was no digging in undisturbed ground. A small area of ground just south of the Boyne River and west of the town walls was cleared of its topsoil, but nothing of archaeological interest was noted.
