Siteworks were undertaken in March and April 2008 prior to the construction of a dwelling house and associated works. The site is within the constraint area of a church and graveyard site (ME039–008) which is 50m to the north. Six test-trenches, 1.8m wide and totalling 151m were excavated. A single feature comprising a north–south-aligned ditch was identified. This ditch was aligned flanking a laneway illustrated on the first-edition OS map for the area. The laneway was understood to have been extant in living memory. No further features of potential archaeological interest were identified.
