No archaeological features were uncovered during monitoring of redevelopment works at Raigh Pier, a protected structure situated on Rockfleet Bay where Grace O’Malley is reputed to have kept a fleet of galleys and constructed a tower-house (MA067–02501) in the 16th century. The tower-house is located to the east of the pier and is under guardianship of the National Monuments Service.
