Monitoring took place of the installation of a gas pipeline trench by Bord Gáis Éireann within the town of Claremorris and its environs in Co. Mayo. Works along the extension of the pipeline from Claremorris to Knock have not been carried out to date. The monitoring works on this section of the pipeline commenced on 12 May 2008. No archaeological remains were encountered during monitoring.
