Thirteen test-trenches were cut here ahead of a private dwelling at Barnacahoge, Swinford. It is located in a field at least 50m to the west of a large cashel which has been all but removed by machinery over the past fifteen years. Topsoil was very shallow, as limestone rock and gravel lay close to the surface. No features or artefacts were noted.
