The site at Yellowbatter 1, Drogheda, was identified in December 2006 during testing carried out on the route of the northern cross route and foul sewer in Field 19, Trench 91, at Chainage 1065 (Excavations 2007, No. 1181, 06E1126). The remains of an extensive burnt mound were exposed, including two pits, two subrectangular troughs and one possible pit. No finds were recovered.
