The site is located within the medieval town wall of Ardee. Testing as part of an assessment was carried out in advance of the construction of a single dwelling. No material of an archaeological nature was disclosed by the testing. Monitoring of the groundworks during construction was recommended, and carried out, under a licence extension. The monitor disclosed no material of an archaeological nature.
