Limerick County Council improved access to the ‘Spectacles’ and the remainder of the hill to the west by the upgrade and provision of pathways. Ministerial consent was required for the works and archaeological monitoring was in place. The area of the Spectacles was desodded by hand and ground disturbance was limited to desodding. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
