The site was located close to ‘Dollas House’ (LI030–115), a building of possible 17th-century date, in Dollas Upper, Croom. Testing was carried out in advance of the construction of an agricultural shed, feed passage and ancillary features. A total of six trenches were excavated. The general stratigraphy consisted of a 0.15m deep layer of topsoil overlying a 0.3m layer of subsoil. The trenches were excavated down to the natural, a yellowish-orange clay that was interspersed with spreads of gravel. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the testing.
