This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford Scheme, Waterford to Powerstown Phase 4 – Knocktopher to Powerstown. During the geophysical survey (GSB Ltd, licence 03R060) linear anomalies were identified; the initial testing of this area was limited due to the presence of overhead power lines and a 110kv pylon at this location. After a revised method statement had been approved, additional testing took place in 2008. This consisted of sixteen trenches: one centreline trench with fifteen offset trenches (total trench length 396.8m) covering an area of c. 3200625m2. During this additional testing nothing of archaeological significance was identified.
